“Sometimes a subject matter screams to be painted. It haunts, disturbs, intrudes upon every thought until it’s captured on paper. Other times it's a quiet disturbance which slowly builds to a crescendo. No matter how it begins, the final result is the same... there is no peace until the painting is completed to my satisfaction.”
